Announcing the Release of Holiday Touchdown – A Bills Love Story!

We have worked closely for years with the Buffalo Niagara Film Office as being available whenever there’s a possibility of a film being made in the area. In turn, they recommend us if the director is looking for the atmosphere and physical layout of an “old timey” variety store. Fortunately, we fit the bill! Over the past 10 years we have appeared in 8 holiday movies...and counting!

However, up until now none has ever been an official produced, directed and sanctioned Hallmark film. That changed this past June when Hallmark filmed Holiday Touchdown – A Bills Love Story entirely in WNY. The director and producer had “secretly” scouted our location last December, and came back in early March for another look and told us almost immediately that they would be filming here.

Several scenes were shot in different areas of the store, and they also recreated East Aurora’s Carolcade one night on Main Street in front of the store. And we were told that a “critical” point of the movie takes place in our 3^rd floor attic! They filmed here for the better part of 3 days and were wonderful to work with. Much of it at night, but when they did film during the day they were considerate of our customers and employees and imposed as little as possible.

The cast and crew were terrific, and I think had as much fun filming in the store as we did watching them -- I dare say they were like kids in a candy shop! All in all, a wonderful experience, and we’re looking forward to the premier on Nov. 22 as much as everybody else!
